Dev Site, No Longer Being Used for This Project

Welcome to CERPP Division 15, Woodside Hills

CERPP was organized under our local fire department, the Woodside Fire Protection District (WFPD). Its purpose is to help all the residents in our area become better prepared to respond in an emergency. And that means more of us will come through an emergency with less grief, less injuries, and less damage to our property and neighborhood. And it all happens with neighbors helping neighbors.

In an emergency, like a major earthquake, professional responders will be overwhelmed in minutes. There may bo no fire engines, no ambulances, and no police or medical professionals to help in our neighborhood for hours, maybe days. That is why we are working to help each other. When we are on our own, we will be prepared to help each other.

Each CERPP Division, including Woodside Hills, has a team of Division Leaders, and is organized further into blocks, with Block Captains organizing teams to respond in an emergency. Involvement really takes very little effort. Learn who our neighbors are, where our resources are located, and what to do when disaster strikes. CERPP provides all the training and resources we need to make that happen.

Please contact us to make sure we know who you are, and what your needs will be in an emergency. And please consider being involved in your neighborhood. The better we are prepared, the safer we are.

Questions and comments (and bug reports) are always welcome. Contact me at for whatever is on your mind.

Your Division Team

Division Kick-Off Potluck, December 10

There will be a Division Kick-Off potluck on December 10, 2017. We will be eating, drinking (sodas) and talking about how to build a strong Emergency Preparedness position. There is no expectation of anyone to sign up for volunteer work, but you won't be turned away if you DO want to get going on something!

All residents of Woodside Hills are invited to come and learn more about the new CERPP programs, and what we can do to help ourselves and our neighbors in an emergency. We especially hope to see all the people already involved in Emergency Preparedness. Your efforts and energy are the only things that make it work.

Kickoff Potluck:
When: December 10 from 3:00 to 6:00
Where: 210 Crest Road

You can RSVP for the meeting on our Survey and Signups page.

Earthquake Drill, January 20, Prep Meeting Before

There will be an earthquake drill on January 20, 2018. We will be practicing skills for responding to an earthquake, checking on our neighbors and communicating with local teams.  Our division is working on basic-level organization, so we will not be trying to get "feet on the street" to pracice those skills yet. But we will be looking at "canned scenarios," and getting the feel for what we are trying to accomplish.

There will be a pre-drill meeting to go over the drill at our Division Operations Center. It is a great time to come and learn more about how the whole thing works. Please come and help us figure out how to do it better.

You can learn more about the drill at the CERPP main site,

Pre-Drill Meeting:
When: January 8 at 7:00
Where: 210 Crest Road

You can RSVP for the meeting on our Survey and Signups page.

About SMCAlert

If you have not already signed up for SMCAlert, please do it today. This is the main resource used by emergency services in San Mateo County to get us emergency information. If there is ever an evacuation, this is the first and best place to get the announcement.

If you ARE signed up, please make sure you are correctly registered for the new features. SMCAlert recently moved its operation to a much more powerful service. Now you can decide whether you want just emergency alerts, road closures, wildlife alerts, and so forth. And you can specify what areas you want to get these alerts for. If you have any trouble, just register again.
